The One He Forgave Most
Scriptures: Luke 7:36-50
1. Love Warns and Love Pursues (Everything Jesus has or will ever do is motivated by love because He is love)
2. The Posture of Repentance (come humbly, come broken over sin, and come to give your all to Jesus)
3. The Posture of the Self-Righteous (Blind to their own sins, but see the sins of others, blind to who Jesus is)
4. The Posture of Jesus (Love)

To Know the Father
Scriptures: Matthew 11:20-30, Lam. 3:22, Romans 1:18-25, Romans 12:3, Hebrews 9:27
God has already revealed His love to us, but the issue is not lack of evidence — it is the refusal to repent. Only humble, childlike faith in Jesus allows a person to truly know the Father and find rest for their soul.

Jesus is speaking to those who know the truth.
The danger is not ignorance—it is refusal.
Stop playing games with God.
Stop making excuses.
Stop finding faults where God is calling for repentance.
Agree with God. Turn from the sin you already know is sin.
Choose obedience over excuses.
Wisdom is proven by obedient lives.
Be wise—and follow Him.

Greater Than John
Matthew 11:11-15, Luke 1:11-17, 1 Cor. 6:19, Galatians 5:16-26, James 4:5
Being indwelled by the Spirit means we (born-again believers) have access to God’s power and presence every day. When we yield to the Spirit and live in obedience, He produces His fruit in us and works through us to accomplish God’s Kingdom purposes!

Prepare you Hearts
Matthew 11:1-19, John 12:44-50, Rev. 20:11-15
1. When you are confused, take your questions to Jesus John didn’t walk away in doubt—he leaned in. From prison, confused and disappointed by unmet expectations, he sent his questions directly to Jesus. Doubt is not falling away; silence and distance are. Like John, when God’s timing or methods don’t match our expectations, the right response is not bitterness or quitting, but honest prayer and seeking Jesus for clarity.
2. Jesus reveals who He is by what He does God does not always work the way we expect, but He always works in perfect wisdom. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are higher than ours. We may want Jesus to act quickly, decisively, or in judgment—but Jesus reveals the heart of God through mercy, compassion, and grace. Rather than proving who He is with words alone, Jesus points to His works. The blind receive sight. The lame walk. Those with leprosy are healed. The deaf hear. The dead are raised to life. And the Good News is preached to the poor. These are not random miracles—they are divine evidence of who He is and why He came. Jesus shows us that this is the season of grace. Before judgment, He brings healing. Before wrath, He offers mercy. His works reveal His identity: the Savior who comes to restore what sin has broken and to draw hearts back to God.
3. Prepare your heart John’s message of repentance was a necessary preparation for receiving Jesus. Grace is available now, but it will not last forever. Jesus came first to save, not to judge—but judgment will come for those who reject Him. The call is urgent: repent, believe, and receive salvation while the door of grace is still open. Preparing our hearts means coming to Jesus honestly, bringing our questions, trusting His ways even when we don’t fully understand, and choosing to walk in obedience to His will. Jesus invites us to respond to His love today, to believe, to turn toward Him, and to receive the life He freely offers.

2026-01-25The Power that Defeats Death - A Walk with Jesus Sermon Series - Pastor Chris
The Power that Defeats Death
Luke 7:11-17 1.
God Is Present and Personally Involved in Our Lives
From Genesis to Jesus, God has never been distant or detached. He walks with His people, speaks to them, rescues them, and enters their suffering. In Jesus, God became fully present—God with us. He is involved in every moment of our lives, working with perfect timing and purpose, even when we don’t recognize it. Nothing we experience is coincidence; it is providence.
Jesus lived to Please the Father
Jesus lived every moment to please the Father by revealing God’s heart to humanity. When He encounters death at Nain, His response is not judgment but compassion. His heart overflows with love for a grieving widow, and life flows from His words. Jesus shows us that God’s power is rooted in love, and His presence brings hope, healing, and restoration where despair once ruled.
Jesus Has Supreme Power Over Death
Death is humanity’s greatest enemy and the final consequence of sin—but death is powerless in the presence of Jesus. With a single command, Jesus defeats death and restores life. This same power still works today. Through salvation, Jesus breaks death’s authority over us forever. Jesus alone is the power that defeats death.

2026-01-24LORD - A Walk with Jesus Sermon Series - Pastor Chris
LORD (Master)
Matthew 8:5-13, Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 6:46, Romans 10:9-13 1
1. Jesus is the only rightful LORD
Jesus is not merely a teacher or moral guide—He is God in the flesh, and His words carry the same power that created light, sky, and life itself. After the Sermon on the Mount, His words continue to bring life where there is none. When Jesus speaks, there is life! The authority of His Word reveals that He alone is Lord.
2. True Faith Begins With Humility - Declaring Jesus as Lord
The Roman centurion shows us that coming to Jesus requires humility, not status, religion, or privilege. By calling Jesus “Lord,” this man surrendered his authority, pride, and reputation. He understood that his power meant nothing compared to Christ’s authority. Declaring Jesus as Lord is not just a title—it is a complete surrender of control, trusting Jesus with our very lives!
3. The Authority of Jesus as Lord Releases Power
When Jesus is acknowledged as Lord, His authority becomes active in our lives. The centurion understood authority—when one under authority speaks, power is released. In the same way, submitting to Jesus places us under His supreme authority, granting access to His power to heal, save, and restore. Salvation, healing, and eternal life are given not through religion or heritage, but through faith expressed in a surrendered life that declares and lives under the Lordship of Jesus.

2026-01-24A Solid Foundation - A Walk with Jesus Sermon Series - Pastor Chris
A Solid Foundation
Matthew 7:24-29
There is nothing more important in this life than to know the man, Jesus the Son of God!
The Foundation of the Wise:
1. Listen to His teachings.
2. Follow what He teaches.
3. Stand firm on His foundation and live strong in Him.
At the end of the day, our lives are defined in success or failure not by what we hear, even from Jesus, the greatest teacher to ever live but, by what we do with His teachings.
